Our mission is to be the antithesis of a "cookie cutter" company. Our family-oriented, boutique design studio establishes personal, as well as professional, relationships with all of our clients in order to understand how to create the best image and marketing tools specific to each one.

Unlike some companies, whose "custom" packages leave little room for personalization, our custom packages are a jumping off point for creating on behalf of our clients. They allow us to trade ideas with you... invite you to review our capabilities... and give us an idea of your likes, dislikes, and goals.

History

When Vigor Creative founder Melanie Dogan received the "Top Dog" award from her peers at the North Carolina School of Communication Arts and subsequently started building her clientele before she had even graduated, she knew she had found her career calling.

But it would also take more than just her endless energy and talent to make it work. As a result, Vigor Creative was born in April of 2004, and has continued to flourish since. New clients approach the Vigor team through referrals, and existing clients continue to turn to them for all of their marketing and design needs. In January of 2007, the team moved into a bright new office off Falls of Neuse Road in Raleigh, which they are enjoying immensely.

Some of Vigor Creative's more prominent clients include Greenscape Inc., Kitchen & Bath Galleries, DuBose National Energy Services, Inc., Fore! Corners Golf, and Strategic Compliance International, Inc.

The secret to Vigor Creative's success can be measured in the talent and hard work of the entire team; however, it is also the boutique aspect and outstanding customer service of the design team that attracts businesses in the first place - and keeps them coming back, year after, year, project after project.

Our Team

Participation in the local design community is very important to us. We have established partnerships with capable designers, as we grow - we hope they will join our team! Presently, our gifted team consists of:

Melanie Dogan, DIRECTOR & DESIGNER
Melanie is skilled in both print and web design. She had several years experience freelancing prior to founding Vigor Creative, during which time she refined her design process. She is very thorough, with a keen eye on detail, which is obvious in her work.

Johanna Tolentino, LEAD DESIGNER & PHOTOGRAPHER
Johanna is Vigor's top designer. She imbues the creative process with a youthful energy that adds pizazz to her projects. Strong in both illustration and web design, she is always wanting to learn more. She is also Vigor's digital photography expert, an area in which she has an extensive background.

Rubia Lobo, ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE
An architect by trade, Rubia realizes the importance of visual communication. While in
Brazil, she worked for two graphic design studios as a client liason. She took an active role in
the creation process so that in her current role as account executive, she now understands it thoroughly and can ask pertinent questions to avoid misunderstandings and vagaries. Her design experience covers a broad spectrum, including interior design, historical building restoration, setup of art exhibits, as well as more traditional graphic design collateral like brochures, catalogs and web sites.

Rubia adds a latin influence to Vigor's culture that enriches its offerings to customers. She
speaks fluent Brazilian-Portuguese, Spanish, and English, and dabbles in Italian and French.
